If you have limited floor space and you need more filing and storage capacity a manually operated mobile shelving system may be the best option. - All panels and shelves are manufactured in high grade powder-coated steel. The standard colour is off-white (cream) but other powder-coat colours are available on inquiry
- Mobile shelving systems are affixed to the floor and can be a combination of static fixed) bays of shelving and mobile bays (single, in a row or back to back) are on tracks - depending on the floor area available
- For larger areas (where the weight of the filing bays can become too heavy to mave manually), mechanically assisted or electric mobile systems are available. Refer separate listings
- As with panel shelving there are three x standard shelving height options available, six x standard shelf depths and four x standard shelf widths. Please note that with mobile shelving systems you need to add 100mm to the overall heigth of the system for the mobile bases and there needs to be at least 150mm clearance from hanging lights and sprinklers above the system
- The number of storage levels in each bay is completely optional and depends on the size/shape of items being stored on each level.
- Mobile shelving systems are also very efficient for storage of clothing or library books
- The overall weight of any mobile shelving system may need to be verified to ensure that there is sufficient load capacity in the floor - we can assist with this
- Shelving can be supplied with roll-out work shelves, shelf dividers or coat-hanger rails (refer to separate listings), to maximise the flexibility and efficiency of the shelving system.
- Mobile units are supplied with large easy to grip handles for ease of moving the units
- Due to the various height, depth, width and number of shelf scenarios possible we provide an obligation free on-site measure up and quote and to scale drawing to ensure that any mobile shelving system proposed maximises the floor space available
- For mobile shelving systems going into new or refurbished buildings we can work with your architect or designer to configure your mobile shelving system/s from plans to suit your requirements
- Infill floors can also be included with any mobile shelving quotation to bring the surface up to track level and help to eliminate staff 'tripping' on exposed tracks
- Melteca end panels can also be affixed to the end of the shelving bays to complete the finish or match existing decor
- Delivery and installation of the shelving system is included in any pricing quoted.
- For mobile shelving systems it is essential that qualified personnel complete the installation to ensure that the system is 100% level for safe operation
