Mechanically Assisted Mobile Shelving
SKU:HYSH-MOB/MECH
When the size and weight of your mobile shelving system is unsafe for staff to move without the risk of injury you may need to consider a mechanically assisted mobile shelving system. Driven by a concealed winch and pulley system the mechanically assisted mobile shelving system can be very easily moved staff - just by turning a wheel (much like a car steering wheel)
- Manufactured in high grade powder-coated steel. The standard powder-coat colour is off-white (cream) but other colours are available on inquiry
- Mechanically assisted mobile shelving systems are driven by a concealed winch and pulley on each row of shelving
- The mechanically assisted mobile shelving units are driven by a 'drive wheel' similar to a car steering wheel and staff can safely and easily move several rows of shelving at a time.
- There is a lock down mechanism on the 'drive wheel' to keep the mobile unit/s stationery when staff are accessing the system
- For smaller or very large mobile systems manual or electrical mobile units are available. Please refer to separate lsiting for information on these options
- Please note that with mobile shelving systems you need to allow an additional height of 100mm for the mobile bases and there needs to be at least 150mm clearance from hanging lights and sprinklers above the system
- The number of shelving bays (fixed or mobile) and the number of storage levels in each bay is completely optional and depends on the size and shape of the items being stored on each shelf
- The overall weight of the mechanically assisted mobile shelving system may need to be verified to ensure that there is sufficient load capacity in the floor. We can assist with this
- Shelving can be supplied with shelf dividers, roll-out work-shelves, roll-out drawers or coat hanger rails to maximise flexibility and efficiency of the shelving system. Refer to separate listings for information on these
- Due to the various height, depth, width and number of shelf scenarios we provide an obligation free on site measure up and quote with a to scale drawing to ensure that the mobile shelving system maximises the floor space available
- For mobile shelving systems going into to new or refurbished buildings we work with the architect or designer to configure the best layout to best meet your needs
- Ideal for files, boxes, museum storage or general stock items
- Infill floors can be included with any mobile shelving quotation to bring the surface up to the track level and help to eliminate staff 'tripping' on the exposed tracks
- Melteca end panels can be affixed to shelving bay ends to complete the finish or match existing decor
- Delivery and installation of any mechanically assisted mobile shelving system is included in the quotation supplied
- For these systems it is essential that qualified personnel complete the installation to ensure that the system is 100% level for safe operation
