Infill (False) Floor for Mobile Shelving System

With all manual, shuttle, mechanically assisted or electrically driven mobile shelving system the mobile units move along on tracks which have a profile that is raised approximately 25mm above the floor. This means that the tracks will protrude above floor level and create the potential for  unaware users to trip. The tracks also prevent wheelchair access to the mobile shelving aisles. An infill (false) floor is made to order for the specific mobile shelving system and provide level surface to walk on or wheel over.

  • Manufactured in hard-wearing MDF in a box format to the eact height of the mobile shelving track
  • Coated with 3 x coats of polyurethane to provide an aesthetically pleasing and har-wearing finish
  • Experienced consultants will measure and design your infill (false) floor requirements from our configuration drawing or your architect's floor plans
  • Other painted, tiled or carpeted surfaces can be used can be fitted to the infill (false floor) 
  • At the point of access to any mobile shelving system there is a gently sloping ramp for additional safety and ease of access for wheelchairs
  • Pricing quoted will include the option of an infill floor (shown spearately) - and this pricing will include maufacture in the required finish, delivery and installation on site. Packers underneath the infill floor may be used to ensure a completely flat surface
