What Filing Options and Sizes Do You Have?

With over 200,000 steel vertical drawer filing cabinets sold in New Zealand every year, this would indicate this method of filing is right ‘up there’ in terms of popularity.

What Filing Options and Sizes Do You Have?

Vertical Drawer Filing Cabinets

With over 200,000 steel vertical drawer filing cabinets sold in New Zealand every year, this would indicate this method of filing is right ‘up there’ in terms of popularity.  With options of 2, 3 and 4 drawer cabinets (and a choice of colour options) there is generally a cabinet to suit most situations. Slightly smaller under desk two drawer vertical filing cabinets are also available and these are an effective use of floor space. All filing cabinet drawers are lockable so this offers additional security for the cabinet contents. Competitively priced vertical filing cabinet options are always available, however, you need to consider, when making your purchasing decision, the additional cost of suspension drop files to hold the records (one set of drop files required for each drawer).

Lockable Steel Filing Cupboards

For more flexibility in what you can file in your cabinet (e.g. files, binders, boxes or miscellaneous stationery items – the steel shelf based cupboards are both popular and cost effective.  These cabinets are lockable and are generally available in two standard sizes (three or four to five level) – although additional shelves can be purchased – if required. Shelves are all adjustable and can be supplied with shelf dividers to support items on the shelf. Colour options are also available.

Open Steel Panel Filing Shelving

When security is not the most important priority, steel open panel shelving offers the same flexibility as lockable cupboards, but can be very space and cost efficient – particularly in situations where a larger number of units is required. Open panel shelving is supplied in a choice of colours and the shelves are also adjustable and can be supplied with shelf dividers.

Tambour Door and Strata Perforated Steel Door Filing Cabinets

For even more flexibility the Tambour door and perforated sliding door cabinets both offer the option of planter boxes to enhance the office décor – or in the case of the Tambour door cabinets, a range of internal accessories (suspension drop file frames, shallow and deep drawers, data drawers and roll out work shelves) to enable almost anything to be efficiently stored in the one cabinet. The 2, 3 and 4 level Tambour cabinets can also be supplied on castors for mobility.

For the Tambour cabinet, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and 7 level cabinets are available in a choice of colours and for the perforated sliding door cabinets there are two height options available and two width options – only available in white satin. For both filing cabinet options shelves are adjustable and can be supplied with shelf dividers.

Tambour Door Filing Caddies

In more recent times, we have seen the development of mobile Tambour door caddies that can be made to desk height and double as a work top return (alongside the desk) or for floor space efficiency roll under the desk. These caddies are generally manufactured with three drawers and a two level Tambour cabinet and can be made in a size, colour or drawer and shelf configuration to suit.

Specialty Filing Cabinets in all Shapes and Sizes

Because not all paper records are A4 or Foolscap and not all records requiring storage are paper, there is also a wide range of specialty filing cabinets available for plans (A0, A1, A2 and A3), stationery and brochures, CDs, media and many more. These filing cabinets can be made in most sizes and in a choice of colours – to suit just about anything that needs to be filed – and any work environment

Often it is difficult to know which is the best filing cabinet solution to suit the space you have available and at the same time efficiently file what it is you want to file. Office Products OnLine has the full range of standard filing cabinets available (with accessories), all at the very best prices available.
